Dina Manzo Leaves Real Housewives of New Jersey
Jun 15, 2010 Author: Maria | Filed under: Real Housewives Of New JerseyAfter a few episodes of Dina talking to herself and keeping quiet during the Danielle bash sessions, she finally exited the cast of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Dina’s husband Tommy was unwilling to participate, her daughter Lexi was pulled from the show and without her old job as an event planner, there wasn’t much left for Dina to do. While the mystery of what Danielle did hasn’t quite been revealed (I don’t buy Danielle’s explanations for a second), it became obvious that Dina wasn’t willing to engage with her and risk any more retaliatory action. It’s too bad Dina is gone, she’s really the only likable housewife in this bunch, but I commend her for putting her sanity first and her desire for fame second.
My favorite Dina moment wasn’t ever aired on the show, it was a video shot for the Bravo website displaying her spectacularly over decorated house.

So sad. Dina was so awesome. How hilarious was she on Andy’s show and describing her encounter with D. I really respect her decision, but will miss her.
Dina was not being truthful during the finale last year with the table flipping, however I liked her daughter Lexi far more than Dina. Also when Danielle stated she had fake hair, Dina scoffed ummm did anyone else see the fake red ladybug hair?! The whole family is a piece of work!

I think it was very cool of her to leave the show. She practiced what she preached – she didn’t want the show to be about hating Danielle. And when she couldn’t change it in a different direction, she left. I think that is commendable.
And while I find Danielle anti-social and downright SCARY…there would be no RHNJ without the crazy bitch!
I still look at Dina and see her as she was on My Big fat wedding. Wish her well with her charities but she was just not entertaining enough for BRAVO or ME.LOL. Buh Bye. All I see is this.

Dina perplexes me. On the one hand, I find her very soothing, with her crystals and her smudging. She has even figured out a way to de-nasal-ize her Jersey tawk so that I like the sound of her voice. And she’s just beautiful! Like a movie star. (God, I sound like I want to skin her and wear her like last year’s Versace….)
On the other hand, her house gives me seizures. For instance, the tables filled with books (good decor thingies!), crosses and assorted doodads. Where’s the room for the people? Like, where would you put down your Pepsi?
I think there’s a bit of hoarder going on here. Remember when Lexi had those drawers full of Halloween candy? Just waaay too much stuff here.
She gets up at 2 a.m. and rides the exercise bike? Hmm. I guess that’s healthier than eating a tub of Ben & Jerry’s or popping a sleeping pill. Although wouldn’t increasing your heart rate make it difficult to go back to sleep for at least several hours?
Geez, Dina’s leaving just when she’s getting interesting….
I commend dina for leaving. Danielle swears she isn’t crazy, ok well she just plays a crazy person on tv then.

I think one clip-in extension hardly qualifies as fake hair. But if we’re on the topic of hair, what’s up with Teresa’s hairline, and why does it look so…peculiar?

Yes I know all about the project Ladybug deal, but just like the hair whether Danielle is supposedly crazy or not the story line keeps changing in that whatever Danielle says is crazy, yet none of the Manzo’s own up to anything. One minute the Manzo’s are thick as thieves the next this doesn’t involve my family just me! Dina is fake and no I don’t think Danielle is crazy other than money crazy! Without her antics there would be no show or drama! As for Teresa’s hair that’s just downright SCARY! The housewarming party was a major joke also given the true financial situation they’re in! Hopefully members of the bankruptcy court was watching!
I think she’s a good person who tries to please the people she loves and just wants to be a happy person and is trying to become happy, with Danielle and the show it would never happen.
Her marriage feel apart, I think I read there were issues with Lexi’s father who is a duel citizen which is stressful for a parent because if they don’t send the child back from visits you have years and millions of dollars trying to get them back in European courts. I think she’s a kind gentle soul who just couldn’t take the madness, and the anger this experience generated in her whole family. Jacqueline was also really odd, hitting her hard and then weaseling back. She’s more like Danielle than any of the Manzo’s. Plus based on Ashley she’s a tragically bad mother. Since the boys are Chris’s they will fair better than Ashley or as I called her unwanted baggage.
Dina will be a favorite of Bravo because she’s funny and classy – she may reincarnate someday soon.
Lexi left the show because her father never gave permission for her appearances. Danielle and Dina have beef because Lexi’s father contacted Danielle after he couldn’t get in contact with Dina or Lexi. Danielle gave him Dina’s home number and the shit has hit the fan ever since…
I’m curious where your information is coming from Kim. Why would Lexi’s father A. call Danielle when he couldn’t get ahold of Dina or Lexi B. not have her home phone number already?? Lexi went and stayed with him last season, and it appears they have a good relationship. Danielle and Dina weren’t friends last summer and he probably would have known that from Lexi, so this isn’t adding up to me. I’m just curious to know where this is coming from. Maybe you can help me understand better.
